CASH AND REPLICA PISTOL STOLEN DURING ROBBERY AT BANGALOW

A large sum of cash has been stolen from the vehicle of a man installing an ATM machine on the state’s north coast.

Police have been told it was only when the man returned to his car having installed the machine at the service station on Byron Street at Bangalow on Thursday, that he realised he’d been the victim of a robbery.

A money bag, along with a replica pistol, and personal items were stolen, with the incident believed to have occurred between 3:05 and 3:30 in the afternoon.

Anyone with information, including who saw a 2018 White VW Amarok dual cab with canopy, or a person carrying a black duffle bag is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
