MAN CRUSHED BY 400KG BALE OF HAY AT KYOGLE

A 59-year-old man is recovering in hospital, after he was crushed by a 400 kilogram bale of hay on the north coast.

The man suffered multiple injuries in the accident at Kyogle on Sunday afternoon, and was stabilised at the scene by paramedics and a medical team from the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.

It’s understood the bale fell from a height of around three metres.

The injured 59-year-old was flown to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
