FITZGIBBON TO MISS FIVE WEEKS OF FOOTBALL WITH INJURY
Lachlan Fitzgibbon will miss at least a month of football, after he suffered a dislocated elbow in Saturday’s loss to the Warriors.
Despite the injury, the backrower managed to finish the match, in which the Knights went down 24-20.
Scans on Monday revealed the 25-year-old suffered ligament damage as a result of a tackle early in the match.
“At this stage he’ll be in a brace for 3-4 weeks and then a potential return to play at 4-5 weeks off the back of that,” said Head of Physical Performance, Balin Cupples.
Meanwhile, Edrick Lee is expected to be fit for the finals having broken his arm in the Knights’ win over the Broncos in round 15.
“Eddie will follow up with a specialist early next week to build back into his weighted rehab type gym stuff,” said Cupples.
