TOURIST CAUGHT WITH DRUGS IN HIS UNDERPANTS AT NIMBIN

A Japanese tourist has been charged for alleged drug possession after police say he was found with LSD and cannabis in his underpants.

Officers spoke with the 31-year-old on Cullen Street at Nimbin on Friday afternoon, after allegedly trying to attempt to hide something in his pants.

The man refused to cooperate with officers, and was taken to Nimbin Police Station where he was searched.

LSD and cannabis was found, with the man telling officers he had no knowledge of the drugs.

He’ll face Lismore Local Court in August, having been issued a Court Attendance Notice for two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.
