The Warriors have scored a nail-biting win over the Knights in Round 16 of the NRL on Saturday night.
Just over 12,000 fans were on hand at McDonald Jones Stadium for the see-sawing match, which saw a late try to the Warriors’ Sam Lisone secure a four point win.
The Knights were without origin stars Mitchell Pearce, David Klemmer, and Daniel Saifti, while Kalyn Ponga is was still nursing a calf injury.
It was the home side who hit the front early thanks to a penalty, before Sione Mata’utia crossed to make the score 8-2.
By half-time, the depleted Knights led by 10-points, only for a second half comeback from the Warriors, which included three tries in 12-minutes left the game on a knifes-edge.
The final score was 24-20.
The match wasn’t without controversy, with a number of decisions from the officials leaving viewers and commentators perplexed.
The result leaves the Knights fifth on the ladder.
