CHARGES LAID OVER MID NORTH COAST BREAK AND ENTERS

A 24-year-old man has been refused bail, charged over a spate of break and enter offences between Nambucca Heads and Port Macquarie last month.

The Port Macquarie man was arrested at a home on Albert Street at South Kempsey on Friday, after a struggle with officers.

It’s alleged he’d jumped a fence in an attempt to escape police when they arrived at a nearby Middleton Street home.

He was charged with 12 offences, including escaping lawful custody, along with two counts of assault.
