A major drug syndicate has been dismantled following a seven month investigation on the Central Coast.
Eight people have been charged with multiple drug offences, following an extensive investigation by Strike Force Basic.
Three search warrants carried out at Woy Woy and Umina in February, May and June, uncovered a web of illegal drug dealing.
Strike Force Basic officers have also seized more than 1kg of methylamphetamine, along with heroin, firearms, motor vehicles, jewellery and cash.
The eight accused are due to appear at Gosford Local Court over July and August.
Brisbane Water Police District Commander, Superintendent Tony Joice, said the arrests are the result of several months of dedicated investigate work.
“We see the devastating impact drugs have in our community and we will continue to work closely with other police districts to dismantle drug syndicates,” said Superintendent Joice.
