A man’s been charged with engaging in explicit conversations online with a 13-year-old girl from the Central Coast and threatening to post explicit images.
On Tuesday, police searched a home at Panania in Sydney’s inner south west, and seized a mobile phone.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at Wyong Police Station and charged with using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend and threatening to distribute intimate images without consent.
Police allege he pretended to be 19 years old and engaged in sexualised conversations with the girl, exchanging explicit images on multiple social media platforms.
When she attempted to end contact with him, he allegedly threatened to post the images.
He’s been refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court.
