North West Local Land Services is encouraging landowners, to ensure their properties are koala-friendly to help save the species.
Landowners are encouraged to use mesh or wooden fencing, plant trees, remove cactus weeds and leave out water bowls at the base of trees.
Koalas are currently listed as ‘vulnerable’, with habitat destruction, diseases and heatwaves posing the biggest threat to their survival.
