ELDERLY MAN THREATENED AT KNIFEPOINT IN TAMWORTH
An 81-year-old man has been left shaken after he was the victim of a brazen robbery in Tamworth overnight.
The elderly man parked his motorhome on the corner of Out Street and the Oxley Highway at around 7:20 PM on Sunday, when an unknown man opened the vehicle door and threatened him with a knife.
He was forced to clamber out of the motorhome in an attempt to flee the attacker, who was last seen running along Out Street.
Later that night, a 21-year-old man had his wallet robbed at a home on Dowell Avenue, with police now working to determine whether the two incidents were linked.
They believe a Silver Mitsubishi Lancer with NSW registration CP78ZS was involved in both incidents.
Anyone with information or dashcam vision from around the time of the robberies is asked to contact local police.
