FORMER NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS STAR IN COURT ON COCAINE CHARGES

Former Newcastle Knight’s player, Jarrod Mullen has faced court in Newcastle on drugs charges.

The 32-year-old sat silently during the brief appearance, with his solicitor entering pleas of not guilty to all four charges, on his behalf.

According to court documents, Mullen allegedly supplied varying amounts of cocaine on four separate occasions in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Cameron Park, in November last year.

The 32-year-old is charged with three counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and one of supplying a trafficable quantity of a prohibited drug.

Mullen was charged by officers attached to Strike Force Castlestead at his Wollongong home last month.

He remains on bail and will return to court in August.
