SOLI BAILEY NEEDS BIG RESULT IN UPCOMING RIO PRO

Far North Coast surfer Soli Bailey needs a solid result at the fifth round of the World Championship Tour in Rio, if he wants to qualify for 2020 season.

The contest could get underway on Friday our time, with Bailey drawing a tough first round match up against Brazil’s Gabriel Medina and World Tour veteran and fellow Aussie, Adrian Buchan.

The Suffolk Park local hasn’t made it past the Round of 32 so far this season, most recently knocked out by Brazil’s Italo Ferriera in last month’s Margaret River Pro.
