HORROR TACKLE MARS BLUES WIN OVER EDGEWORTH

In Round 13 of the Hunter’s NPL competition, Weston retained top spot by edging out Rosebud 2-1, Maitland won 4-2 against Valentine and Charlestown City upset Edgeworth.

The Blues went down to 10 men after 15 minutes when Tom Smart was sent off for this challenge on Tyson Jackson.

Charlestown City hit the front midway through the second half, as Scott Smith broke a six-game goal scoring drought.

At Weston, the Bears claimed all three points thanks to an impressive brace to Liam Wilson.

He scored two amazing long range goals either side of half time, as the home side maintained a one-point lead at the top.
