RIDER STABLE AFTER HANGING ROCK CRASH

It’s been a busy weekend for the region’s emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Late on Sunday, the helicopter was tasked to Hanging Rock east of Nundle in the state’s north west, after reports of a motorbike accident.

Upon arrival they found a 25-year-old man suffering back injuries, after the bike he was riding crashed into a tree.

He was stabilised by paramedics, before being flown to Tamworth Base Hospital.

While on Saturday, a 7-year-old girl was airlifted to Newcastle for treatment, after she was trampled by a horse near Quirindi.

The young girl suffered a broken leg in the incident, on a property east of the township.

A 46-year-old man also had to be flown to hospital after a motorbike crash at Johns River, around 30 kilometres north of Taree.

He was reported to be in a serious condition.
