EAGLES CONTINUE TO SOAR IN THE WPL

In the Women’s Premier League, Merewether smashed Wallsend, Southy beat Thornton and Rosebud outclassed Mid North Coast.
At Alder Park, ladder leaders New Lambton hosted rivals Warners Bay.
With the home town Eagles leading 2-1, both sides had plenty of chances in the second half.
The task got harder for Warners Bay when Tara Andrews made it 3-1.
When Sophie Jones grabbed a fourth, New Lambton had maintained its six point gap at the top of the table.
