BROKE MAN EXTRADITED OVER ALLEGEDLY RAMMING POLICE CAR

A Hunter Valley man has been extradited from Queensland in relation to five outstanding warrants.

The 29-year-old was arrested at a hotel in Beaudesert on Wednesday, before being taken to Beenleigh Magistrates Court where an extradition order was granted.

It’s alleged the Broke man was behind the wheel of a Toyota Hilux, which rammed a police vehicle on Wollombi Road in October last year.

The vehicle was found abandoned in a nearby paddock, while attempts to locate the driver proved unsuccessful.

The warrants related to avoiding apprehension, police pursuit, driving whilst disqualified, and impersonating police.
