WOMAN CHARGED OVER MDMA BUST

A 60-year-old woman has been charged after she was found allegedly carrying up to 2000 MDMA tablets in the Hunter Valley.

The woman was arrested at an Aberglasslyn home just after 10am on Wednesday, and charged with supplying more than a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

She joins five others already charged in the Strike Force Raptor North investigations.

The Strike Force has exposed extensive commercial supply of methylamphetamine and MDMA in Port Stephens and Newcastle.

The 60-year-old woman was refused bail at Maitland Local Court, and is due to appear again on July 17.
