TAMWORTH MAN CHARGED OVER DEATH OF TODDLER

A man has been charged over the death of a toddler in a horror crash near Tamworth last year.

The 24-year-old was allegedly travelling south on the New England Highway at Moonbi on December 16, when his ute left the road and struck a tree.

A three-year-old boy in the backseat was killed.

The Oxley Vale man was arrested yesterday and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.

His licence has been suspended and he’ll appear again in court next month.
