CARTHAGE ST HOME SAVED AFTER KITCHEN FIRE RAISES ALARM

Fire crews have extinguished a blaze at a home in Tamworth.

Four crews were called to Carthage Street yesterday afternoon, to find the house well alight.

It’s alleged the fire began in the kitchen, and residents initially tried to put it out themselves.

It took emergency services just 25 minutes to bring it under control.
