POLICE INVESTIGATING AFTER GUNS TAKEN FROM NABIAC PROPERTY

Police are appealing for information after three firearms, ammunition and cash were stolen from a rural property in the Manning-Great Lakes region over the weekend.

On Friday night, a 52-year-old man returned to his Nabiac property to find the gun safe door in his garage had been forced open.

Missing from inside were two shotguns and an air rifle, ammunition, cash and jewellery.

Officers from the Manning-Great Lakes Police District established a crime scene, seizing a number of items for forensic examination.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity along the Pacific Highway at Nabiac over the Easter long weekend is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
