DRUGS AND WEAPONS SEIZED AT TANILBA BAY
A 38-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences, after he was allegedly caught with drugs and illegal weapons at Port Stephens.
Officers stopped a Hyundai Sedan at Tanilba Bay in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with a search uncovering a package of what’s alleged to be the drug ice.
The driver was also allegedly in possession of more than $1800 in cash, along with a knuckleduster, knife and a gun.
He was taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station, where he was charged with a number of offences including possessing an unauthorised pistol.
Bail was formally refused, with the man due back in court next month.
