A swimmer feared missing after a boogie board washed up on Ballina’s Lighthouse Beach yesterday has been found alive.
A search was launched just after 3pm on Tuesday, after the board was found along a stretch of Ballina’s notorious north breakwall.
The search was called off early Wednesday morning, after the owner contacted police.
He told officers his granddaughter had lost the board in the surf.
