Three men are lucky to be alive after an overnight boating accident off the Mid North Coast.
The trio were onboard a 30 foot motor cruiser off Crescent Head at around 1 o’clock this morning, when the vessel struck a reef at high speed.

Volunteer Marine Rescue, accompanied by a medical team from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter raced to the scene, assisting to return the group to shore.
All three were taken to Port Macquarie Hospital in a serious condition.
This morning, a 30-year-old man who was onboard the boat was flown to Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital suffering spinal fractures.
He’s now in a stable condition.
