GAV’S WEATHER | EXPECT A WARMER START TO THE WEEKEND

The cooler Autumn weather has now settled in but it will be a little warmer to kick start the weekend.

Cloud free skies dominate the nation except for the Hunter, which saw some light cloud coverage earlier today.

Tomorrow a large high pressure system stretching over the south-east and into the Tasman Sea will generate onshore winds and isolated coastal showers.

Meanwhile the remnants of Cyclone Wallace will stream in south from the Western Australian town of Exmouth, bringing with it some valuable rain to the west.

The onshore south-east winds will keep temperatures moderate, while triggering more isolated coastal showers.
