A 23-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman have been charged after allegedly engaging in sexual activity in the back of a bus at Lake Macquarie.
Police allege that, when the driver became aware and ordered them off the bus, the pair became verbally aggressive and the man spat at the driver.
The pair then tried to board another bus but were refused.
Officers say the man then walked in front of the second bus, attempting to remove the windscreen wipers.
Police were called but the pair fled the scene.
On Tuesday, officers arrested a man at Windale, charging him with a string of offences including affray, common assault and malicious damage.
A woman was also charged with offensive conduct.
