$25 MILLION WEST BYRON DEVELOPMENT REFUSED

Plans for a multi-million dollar development at West Byron have been rejected for a second time.

An application to build a 282-lot subdivision was knocked back by a planning panel last night.

The discussion became heated – a number of speakers pleading with the panel not to allow the development to go ahead, stating they “did not want a ‘Gold Coast’ at Byron Bay.”

It comes after a $40-million proposal was refused earlier in the year.
