WORKERS MEET OVER MYUNA BAY SPORT & REC CENTRE CLOSURE

A meeting was held at Rathmines this afternoon, to provide an update to workers, affected by last week’s shock closure of the Myuna Bay Sport and Recreation Centre

Lake Macquarie MP Greg Piper confirmed he’ll meet with representatives of the Office of Sport tomorrow.

“I’m really annoyed about what I see as a betrayal of the local community, but the immediate direct impact on these workers cannot be ignored.”

The centre closed last Friday amid fears Eraring Power Station’s ash dam could collapse, in the event of a major earthquake.
