TAUTAU MOGA FINED $60,000 FOR ASSAULTING TAXI DRIVER

Newcastle Knights centre Tautau Moga has been fined $60,000 by the club, for his drunken assault on a taxi driver on Boxing Day.

The 25-year-old faced the Knights’ disciplinary committee yesterday, which suspended $30,000 – subject to good behaviour.

Last month, Moga admitted to slapping the male driver twice in the face outside King Street Hotel, but avoided conviction after pleading guilty to common assault.
