RAILWAY STAFF MEMBER VICTIM OF EARLY MORNING ATTACK AT TAREE
An investigation is underway after a railway employee was assaulted by a group of men at Taree.
Four men approached the 62-year-old at Taree Railway Station as he ended his shift at around 2 o’clock on Monday morning.
The group proceeded to assault the man, demanding he open the office and give them access to the cash register.
They made off with a small amount of cash, leaving the staff member needing first aid treatment for his injuries.
Police are now hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw four men in dark clothing in the area at the time.
