POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION AFTER WERRIS CREEK CALTEX ROBBERY

Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a Werris Creek service station on Saturday night.

CCTV footage captured a man walking into the CALTEX service station on Single Street, before brandishing a knife and threatening an employee just after 7.30pm.

He stole a sum of cash before fleeing the scene.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance with facial hair and a tall, slim build.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Tamworth Police.
