ARMIDALE MAN JAILED FOR FIVE YEARS AFTER 2017 HOME INVASION

An Armidale man has been jailed for five years following a home invasion on Christmas Eve of 2017.

Matung Marcus Baget admitted he broke into the Kentucky Street home before seriously wounding the male occupant with a machete.

He was charged with special aggravated break-and-enter with wounding after fronting Armidale District Court in November.

Baget will not be eligible for parole until November 20-20.
