TAMWORTH GREYHOUND RACING CLUB TO OPEN GATES THIS WEEKEND

Tamworth’s Greyhound Racing Club will open its gates for the first time this weekend, after track closures forced a five-month hiatus last year.

The club recently upgraded its turf and fencing to improve animal safety.

The final go-ahead was given after the Greyhound Welfare Integrity Commission inspected the track on Saturday.

The club’s first trial meeting will be held this weekend, followed by another meeting on March 30.
