POLICE APPEAL AFTER 12-YEAR-OLD APPROACHED ON CENTRAL COAST

Police are hoping the public can assist to track down a man who approached a 12-year-old girl at Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast.

Officers have been told the young girl was walking along Elizabeth Bay Drive at around 2:25 on Friday afternoon, when a car pulled up beside her.

It’s alleged the driver of the car invited the young girl into the car.

She refused, with the vehicle driving away.

The man is described as being elderly with balding grey hair, a long grey beard, and was wearing a black and white striped shirt.

His car is believed to be a white SUV with black and white number plates starting with ‘C’.

It also had damage to the front left-hand side and one of its mirrors.
