Labor is promising to shine a light on the region’s keen innovators, by appointing a ‘Chief Entrepreneur,’ to help cultivate the development of new ideas.
A number of innovation precincts would be set up in regional New South Wales, with the aim of boosting sectors like the Central Coast’s food industry.
“If we had a proper innovation council on the Central Coast centred on the university, we’d be able to support those advantages. That’d support jobs and growth in our area and that’d be really great for the Central Coast.” – David Mehan- Member for The Entrance.
