SCISSOR LIFT TAKEN FOR DRUNK JOY RIDE IN NEWCASTLE

A man allegedly four times over the legal limit was found driving a scissor lift platform down Hunter Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old allegedly stole the scissor lift from Newcastle West around 1.25 AM, before witnesses called police.

Newcastle City Police took to Facebook expressing their disbelief, “Its a new one for us, just when you think you have seen it all.”

The Thornton man was arrested and charged with stealing and high range drink driving.
