A husband and wife from Toronto have unknowingly started the new year $200,000 richer, after winning the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot.
The couple bought the winning ticket from a Toronto News outlet late last year and hadn’t got around to checking it, leaving it in the centre console of their car.
The ticket was also unregistered, meaning they couldn’t be contacted.
Coincidentally, they say they’d been joking for months that they could be the mystery winners of the unclaimed prize.
