Today, the coastal cloud did not make it over the ranges.
Showers are expected for the northern New South Wales coast and southeast Queensland tomorrow,
This is only going to be a short-lived reprieve from the heat, as temperatures will soar straight back up to the mid 30s across most of the north-west and Upper Hunter.
The rest of the country is set to remain dry.
Northeast winds will fan coastal communities south of Coffs.
And north of Coffs, southeast winds will drive in more cloud and isolated showers.
