CENTRAL COAST HIGHWAY $387 MILLION UPGRADE

Funding for the next section of the Central Coast Highway upgrade has been delivered two-and-half weeks out from the state election.

The project will focus on easing congestion between Bateau Bay and Wamberal.

“$387 million, but everybody in this community knows we need to dual carriage this section.”

Work will begin on the 3.8 kilometre stretch after the March election.

“People are using Wyong Road instead because it’s a bottleneck. This will even out the traffic a lot more and people will get home to their families quicker. A couple of days ago we announced new bus routes, express at peak hour from The Entrance to Gosford, so those people will get home a lot quicker as well.”
