Police say more than $24-million worth of cannabis has been seized in the state’s north, as part of their annual eradication program.
The Drug and Firearms Squad found more than 12,000 cannabis plants during the operation, which ran from November to March 1… 4,153 of them in the New England region.
Police say some of the larger crops were growing on crown land, or private properties without the owner’s knowledge.
25 people have been served with court attendance notices.
