BAIL REFUSED FOR PETROL STATION ROBBERY

A 29 year old man has been refused bail after facing Gosford Local Court today for the alleged double robbery of a petrol station.

Matthew Upson was arrested by the side of the road yesterday afternoon in relation to two robberies which occurred in the space of four days at the Metro Service Station in West Gosford.

In both robberies, police say staff at the servo were threatened and one attacked.

Police allege a large sum of cash was also stolen during the robberies.

Upson will face a committal hearing via video link on April 26.
