FEDERAL ASSISTANCE ANNOUNCED FOR PEOPLE AFFECTED BY NORTHERN NSW FIRES

Help is at hand for those battling to recover from major bushfires, which tore through northern New South Wales earlier this month.

Today, the federal government announced financial assistance.

“Section 44 relief for the people who have been affected by the fires in Northern New England now means that these people have access to $1000 per adult and $400 per child, to do with the cash requirements to get themselves back on their feet.”

Affected residents in and around Tingha, Tabulam and Linton will have access to the funds for up to 13 weeks.
