A driver has plunged his BMW into water, while allegedly trying to evade police on the state’s Central Coast.
Police attempted to pull over a blue BMW on McLachlan Avenue at Long Jetty at about 4.30 this afternoon.
The 37-year-old man behind the wheel allegedly sped off, before losing control of the car and landing in a ditch on the side of the road.
The vehicle ended up partially submerged in a creek.
The driver fled on foot, police chased and eventually arrested him.
Checks revealed he was disqualified from driving until 2057.
He’s been refused bail to appear in Wyong Local Court tomorrow.
A passenger in the car avoided injury in the incident, but was assessed by emergency services.
