BENDEMEER TO MOVE TO LEVEL 3 WATER RESTRICTIONS

Water restrictions will be tightened further in Bendemeer, after the town’s main water source, the MacDonald River, stopped flowing.

The situation is becoming increasingly dire, with level 3 restrictions in place from tomorrow.

It means locals can only water their gardens for 15 minutes a day.

All sprinklers are banned, while buckets and watering cans can be used between 6 and 8 pm.

A backup supply is being prepared and tested for use this week.
