GUNNEDAH MAN ON MULTI MILLION DOLLAR FRAUD CHARGES

A Gunnedah man has been charged with frauds totalling more than $3-million.

Police allege between January 2017 and July 2018, the 40-year-old used fake identities and false companies to obtain funds and bitcoin for companies based in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

In one instance it’s alleged the man attempted to defraud a bank of $3-million using fraudulent cheques.

The man will face a total of 29 charges when he appears in Tamworth Local Court on Thursday.
