An 18-year-old girl has been bitten by a red-bellied black snake at Port Stephens.
It’s understood she was bitten on the ankle at Fingal Bay at around 2 o’clock this afternoon.
She was treated at the scene by lifeguards, before being taken to Newcastle’s Mater Hospital.
