MAN DIES FOLLOWING STABBING AT BOLTON POINT

The Homicide Squad has been called in to investigate a stabbing at Lake Macquarie, which led to the death of a 35-year-old man.

Police were called to an address on Leumeah Place at Bolton Point at around 10:45 on Sunday evening, following reports a man had been stabbed.

The injured man was treated at the scene before he was taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, where he later died.

Strike Force Larkview has now been established to investigate the man’s death.

Officers are hoping to speak with a 32-year-old man who it’s believed left the home prior to police arriving.

He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance and around 172cm tall.

A man in his 50s has also been questioned in regards to the incident.
