WORK TO BEGIN ON GUNNEDAH OVERPASS PROJECT

It’s been seven years in the making, and now, work on Gunnedah’s new overpass is finally set to begin.

After lengthy delays, the rebuilding of Warrabungle Street will start on Monday, allowing for a new bridge across the railway line.

The $62-million dollar project has been high on the community’s wishlist, with the completed overpass expected to vastly improve safety and freight connectivity in the area.

At this stage, it’s hoped work will finish up mid-2021.
