FOUR ESCAPE INJURY AS BOAT WASHES ASHORE ON CENTRAL COAST BEACH

A 43-foot yacht has run aground at Norah Head on the Central Coast.

Four people were onboard the vessel when it washed onto Soldiers Beach at around 7 o’clock on Friday night.

It’s understood the group from the Hunter were making their way from Lane Cove to Tea Gardens and had stopped to avoid bad weather when they broke anchor.

All four managed to make it to shore, with the vessel sustaining a two-foot puncture to its hull.

Around 100 litres of diesel remains on board the yacht, with the owner set to be handed the salvage bill.
