230 CANNABIS PLANTS SEIZED NORTH OF GRAFTON

A 57-year-old man has been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into cannabis plantations in the state’s north.

230 cannabis plants, with a potential street value of $460,000, were seized from an area within the Banyabba Nature Reserve, north of Grafton, on Thursday afternoon.

It’s alleged the 57-year-old was standing near several cannabis plants when he was arrested.

He was taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged.
