B-DOUBLE FIRE ON NEW ENGLAND HIGHWAY

A B-double has caught fire on the New England Highway near Newcastle, causing lengthy delays for holiday traffic entering the M1 Motorway.

Thankfully the driver escaped injury – diversions are expected to remain in place until late on Thursday.
